How to Copy a Folder Within and Across Knowledge-Bases

 

With ProProfs Knowledge Base, you can effortlessly copy the folder structures within and across different knowledge bases. Follow the steps below to learn how to copy and add a folder to another knowledge base.

 

Use Case:

 

Copying a folder within the same Knowledge Base:
Quickly create versioned backups or repurpose existing content by duplicating folders within your knowledge base.

 

Copying a folder to a different Knowledge Base:
Effortlessly replicate structures between knowledge bases, ensuring consistency and saving time when managing similar content across different projects.

 

How to Copy a Folder within the Same Knowledge Base

 

Step 1: Right-click on the folder from the Table of Content and select "Copy Folder."

Step 2: Edit the Folder Name and click "Save." For reference, we have kept the default folder name.

You'll see a confirmation message when your folder is successfully copied within the same knowledge base.

Here's how the copied folder appears on your Knowledge Base:

How to Copy a Folder and Add It to Other Knowledge-Base

 

Step 1: Right-click on the folder from the Table of Content and select "Copy Folder."

Step 2: A popup will appear. Edit the folder name to be copied.

 

Step 3: Select the help site and click Save.

Step 4: A confirmation screen will appear. Click OK to confirm.

Step 5: Go to Sites and select the help site.

The copied folder will appear in the Table of Content of the selected Knowledge Base.
