How Do I Save Articles for Later in ProProfs Knowledge Base?

If you come across an article you want to read later, you can save it using the Save for Later option. Saved articles are collected in one place at the bottom of the left navigation panel, so you can pick up where you left off without having to search again.

What Is Save for Later?

Save for Later is a personal reading list built into ProProfs Knowledge Base. When you're on any article, you can save it with one click. Your saved articles are stored in a dedicated section at the bottom of the left navigation panel, available whenever you log in.

Think of it as a bookmark that lives inside the knowledge base, not in your browser.

Why Use It?

Most users encounter a useful article while looking for something else and lose it. Save for Later solves that, here's when it makes a real difference:

  • You found an article but can't read it now. Save it and come back when you have time.
  • You reference the same articles repeatedly. Skip the search and go straight to your saved list.
  • You're onboarding or learning a new workflow. Build a personal reading list as you go.

Example Use Cases

  • A support agent saves 3 troubleshooting guides at the start of their shift for quick access during calls.
  • A new employee saves onboarding articles to read at their own pace across multiple sessions.
  • A manager saves policy articles they need to review before a team meeting.

How to Save Articles for Later

Step 1: Log in to your ProProfs Knowledge Base account. Save for Later is only available to logged-in users.

Step 2: Open any article you want to save.

Step 3: Click the Save for Later button near the article title. The button updates to confirm it's saved.

Tip: The button works like toggle, click again on any saved article to remove it from your list.

Step 4: To view all saved articles, scroll to the bottom of the left navigation panel and click Saved.

Step 5: To remove an article, either click Save for Later again on the article page, or click the remove icon next to it in your saved list.

Your saved articles are tied to your account and will be there every time you log in. There's no limit to how many you can save, and you can remove any article at any point. If the Save for Later option isn't appearing, check that you're logged in — that's the most common reason.
