How to Add Related Articles in ProProfs Knowledge Base
The Related Articles feature in ProProfs Knowledge Base helps you display relevant article suggestions at the bottom of each article page. This improves content discoverability, keeps users engaged, and enables them to find additional helpful information without searching manually.
Benefits:

Reduces Content Dead-Ends: Prevent users from leaving after viewing a single article by guiding them to the next relevant topic.

Highlights Important Articles: Promote key or high-value articles by linking them contextually where they are most relevant.

Maintains Contextual Relevance: Ensure users stay within the same topic area, avoiding confusion caused by unrelated search results.
Example
A customer reads an article on resetting their account password, but still encounters login issues. By displaying related articles such as login troubleshooting or account recovery, they can quickly access relevant solutions and resolve the issue without additional searches or support requests.
Steps to Add Related Articles
Step 1: Open the Article

On your ProProfs Knowledge Base account, open the article in which you want to add related articles.

Click Edit Page to open the article editor.

Click the Settings (⚙️) icon at the top of the editor.
Step 2: Access Related Articles Settings
In the Page Settings window, navigate to the Related Articles section.
You will see the configuration panel for managing related articles.
Step 3: Enable Related Articles
Turn ON the Show related articles toggle.
This activates the display of related article suggestions at the bottom of the article page.
Step 4: Choose a Recommendation Method
You can add related articles using one of the following methods:
Option 1: Auto Suggest Articles Using AI

Select Auto suggest article using AI.

Click Generate Suggestions.
The system will automatically fetch relevant articles using ProProfs AI, and the suggestions will appear in a list.
Option 2: Select Articles Manually

Choose Select articles manually.

Browse or search through the available articles.

Check the boxes next to the articles you want to add.
Step 5: Review and Save Changes
All selected articles will appear in the Selected articles section.
You can:

Reorder articles using the drag option

Remove any article using the delete (X) icon
Click Save to apply your changes.
Final Result
Once saved, the selected related articles will appear at the bottom of the article page.
These suggestions will also be visible in the Preview mode, allowing you to verify how they appear to end users.
